The name agrihood emerged in the United States with the merger of agriculture + neighborhood (agriculture and neighborhood). In 2014 there were 12 agrihoods, in 2016 the number of existing American initiatives and under implementation rose to 200. Examples of real estate such as The Cannery and Serenbe are recognized in the real estate scenario and received several awards.
It is a concept that is expanding internationally for real estate projects that associate the production of food in its design and operation.
